Paddle billing integration live
Subscription checkout is now powered by Paddle — including the 14-day free trial, self-serve monthly billing, and cancel-anytime from account settings. No card is required to start the trial. Billing is in GBP.
Privacy policy expanded for app users
Privacy policy updated to cover account data handling, job/invoice/customer data retention periods, and the controller/processor relationship between wrkgenie.com and app.wrkgenie.com. GDPR-conscious by design.
Onboarding flow and workspace provisioning
New users are now guided through workspace setup immediately after signup. Provisioning is automatic — no manual configuration needed before the first job can be added. The onboarding flow takes most users under five minutes to reach a fully working state.
Calendar and booking system launched
A full job calendar with booking flow, client scheduling, and job tracking is now live. Jobs can be created directly from the calendar view. Useful for service businesses managing a high volume of recurring appointments alongside one-off callouts.
Invoice workflow improvements
Faster invoice creation with fewer required steps, an improved preview modal before sending, and better-formatted PDF output. Invoices now include all required UK fields — invoice number, business details, issue date, and VAT breakdown where applicable.
Multi-tenant architecture completed
Full data isolation between businesses is now enforced at the infrastructure level. Each WrkGenie workspace operates in a fully isolated environment — customer data, job records, and invoices are never shared between tenants. This is foundational for data security and GDPR compliance.
Load time and bundle improvements
Reduced JavaScript bundle size, improved server response times, and smoother UI interactions throughout the app. Performance improvements were focused on mobile devices — the primary platform for most WrkGenie users.
WrkGenie initial launch
Core features released: job management, quoting, invoicing, customer records, and the main dashboard. Built for UK sole traders and small service businesses. All core workflows — from a new customer enquiry through to a paid invoice — are functional in this first version.
WrkGenie launched in January 2026 and is under active development.
